A Rare Window of Sunshine
Walkers who joined the DPA's annual chairman's walk to Fur Tor during a wet August week found a rare window of sunshine to appreciate the magnificent views.

The 12 mile walk from Fernworthy Reservoir to Fur Tor and back, via Statts House, North West Passage, Black Hill and Teignhead Farm, represented a continuation of the annual tradition of walking to Fur Tor via different routes.
DPA chairman Val Barns was joined by a group of walkers, including DPA president Kate Ashbrook, and all enjoyed the occasion, which ended with refreshments at a local hostelry in Chagford.
The DPA holds a number of walks and events throughout the year. All are welcome and information can be found by clicking here or by calling the DPA office on 01822 890646.
